|Loved growing up in the 90's|
After high school, I went to the University of Virginia for my BA in Psychology and after my 2008 graduation, I went straight into graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned my M.Ed. in Counselor Education. I have been a high school counselor in Chesterfield, Virginia since 2010. I started back at VCU for my PhD in the fall of 2014...I should be done...someday (2018).
|College friends traveling the world!|
In my free time I love running, reading, traveling, sleeping (I am NOT a night owl), eating, singing, and hanging out with friends. I try to eat healthy and listen to my body, but I don't typically follow any specific meal/diet plan (I have tried eating vegan, vegetarian, primal and low gluten). I mostly eat minimal meat and try to avoid processed foods and a lot of gluten. I had eating issues growing up, so I have come a long way and still focus on improving my wellness daily. I am by no means an expert! Exercise has always been easier for me than eating well all the time. I go by the 80/20 rule...which sometimes goes to 70/30 :)
I like to think I am pretty low-key overall and can keep myself entertained. That being said, I am an extrovert, have a bubbly personality and love to know random details of peoples' lives...hence this blog!
